What's on my mind

The Ham spirit is one of the things that I love about our hobby. That's why I try to follow the Ham Code every time I sit down behind the radio and whenever I meet with fellow Ham. Nowadays, since it is so easy to get a licence and necessary equipment, the idea of Ham spirit gets often lost in the process. It is unfortunate that often you come across behaviour far from the Ham spirit.

Sadly, even mentioning this problem can be seen as going against the Ham spirit. This in turn leads to hostility, grudge and bitterness. Unfortunately, the behaviour of those who disregard the Ham spirit casts a shadow over our entire community.

I have long thought about possible solutions to this problem. And I decided to set up 'Harm spirit' diploma, which will be granted to stations that do not honour the Ham Spirit.

These stations can be nominated by the visitors of this site. This diploma, like all other Diplomas, is not public and is only visible to the specific station. Likewise, nomination remains anonymous. Perhaps the holders of these anti-awards will open their eyes and, more importantly, their heart and mind.
